Serial Griller – Character & Poster Series

Serial Griller makes the best smash burgers. They wanted bold visuals to match the energy. So we built a whole world around it. The Brief: Create original characters and large-format posters for in-store promotion. They needed: - A caricature of the owner smashing burgers - A killer burger monster - A monster pickle - Three A1 promotional posters Duck Island Ice Cream Weekly specials Lewis Road Creamery drinks The vibe? Loud. Fun. Memorable. The Idea: We leaned into the name. “Serial” — but make it playful. Each character feels slightly chaotic, slightly unhinged, but still family-friendly and fun. Big expressions. Thick lines. High contrast. I designed the posters with a subtle 3D depth effect. The setting? A tongue-in-cheek “basement lair” — dramatic lighting, gritty textures — but bright, vibrant and bold so it never feels dark. Just theatrical. What I Delivered: Custom caricature illustration, Original Burger Monster character, Original pickle monster character, Three large-format A1 poster designs, Print-ready artwork for in-store display.
